in 2020, I\u2019ve helped more than 500 families find the right school for their child in Madrid.<\/p><ul><li>Every conversation with heads, teachers, students and parents adds to what I know about a school.<\/li><li>I run <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/madrideducation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Madrid Education<\/a>, a Facebook group where more than 4,000 parents share questions and advice.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ef379d1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">From Ireland to Madrid<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eca3967 elementor-widget class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I\u2019m Irish and I\u2019ve lived in Spain for more than 20 years. I\u2019ve called Granada, Valencia, Tenerife and Barcelona home, but Madrid has been \u2018mi casa\u2019 for most of that time, apart from five years in London and a stint in Melbourne.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1826a25 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1826a25\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How My Career in Education Began<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bb1a04d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bb1a04d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p dir=\"ltr\">When I first moved to Spain, I taught business English. I went all by my lonesome from office to office with my English books and knew Madrid\u2019s metro lines off by heart. Fast-forward a year later, and I was lucky enough to become involved in a project with la Comunidad de Madrid and the British Council, teaching English for a number of years in Spanish public schools.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">That gave me an insider\u2019s view of how the Spanish education system really works, which I draw on every day, whether a family is looking at public, concertado or private schools.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dd3c173 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"dd3c173\"
